Navigating the Heat and Honing Skills with the Best: My Journey Continues

Hello everyone,

It’s been a while since I’ve penned down my thoughts and experiences, but here I am, back with my 17th blog entry, and so much has unfolded since the last time we connected. As you all know, continuous learning and growth are parts of my DNA as a golfer, and I’m thrilled to share some exciting developments in my journey.

Training Under a Legend

Firstly, I have begun training under a revered coach, a Dronacharya Awardee winner in Golf. The opportunity to learn from such a distinguished mentor is not just an honor but a transformative experience for my career. His insights and techniques are reshaping the way I approach every aspect of the game, from the swing to the strategy on the greens.

Elevating Fitness Levels

On the fitness front, I’ve taken a significant leap by starting a new training regimen with one of India’s top fitness coaches, famed for his work with eminent athletes like Shubhman Gill and Yuvraj Singh, among others. This training is not just about physical fitness but also about mental endurance, which is crucial for withstanding the rigors of professional golf.

IGU Tournament at Kalhaar Greens

As I write this, I have just arrived in Ahmedabad for the upcoming IGU Tournament at the scenic Kalhaar Greens, scheduled from May 8th to May 10th. The weather here is a testament to the typical Indian summer—blazing and unforgiving. However, it’s another opportunity to test my skills and resilience under pressure.

Upcoming Challenges in Kolkata

Post-Ahmedabad, my schedule takes me to Kolkata, where I will be competing from May 21st to May 24th. It’s going to be a busy month, filled with challenges and learning, and I am geared up for it.

Embracing the Heat

One of the biggest lessons I’m learning daily is how to stay calm and stable under challenging conditions. The intense heat here is not just a physical challenge but a mental one as well. Keeping cool, maintaining focus, and managing fatigue are skills just as critical as any golfing technique.

As I navigate through these tournaments, my training under such esteemed mentors is showing me the immense value of patience, resilience, and hard work. Golf is indeed a game of finesse and endurance, and every day on the course is a chance to grow stronger and wiser.

Stay Tuned

I’ll keep sharing snippets from my journey, and I hope my experiences inspire you as much as they are transforming me. Here’s to more fairways, greens, and personal bests!

Thank you for staying with me on this journey. Your support and enthusiasm mean the world to me.

Stay cool and keep swinging!

Best, Shiksha Jain
